And one more thing...

Well, as I said, I'm a lousy modeler so I am trying to "cheat" a mask shape by using Softcloth and a collision shape to get a rough "Outlaw" mask, bake it and then take it to CC to fit to an avatar...at least I thought that might work.
I'm having a terrible time getting things to collide at all. I'm in By Frame mode and I've tweaked Collision Margins and everything else till I'm blue but can't get the Softcloth object to collide with my Kinematic shape is it just too complex a shape?.
Any ideas?

You don't mention any weight map. You may want to try to experiment with that.

But I must admit that something has changed. I have an old scene where I use Softcloth physics to drape a shirt on a surface, which used to work in 7.41, but now no longer does.

Also, I believe that Softcloth physics doesn't like complicated shapes for the rigid surfaces that it must drape on.

I think you're correct about the complicated shapes for sure Job.
I was thinking a Weight Map might hold it and keep it from colliding with the face shape but maybe I'll experiment a bit more.
Thanks!

Unfortunatelly soft cloth only works with box, capsule and sphere collision shapes. But you may add a few small capsules and spheres to simulate face shape. Otherwise, Blender is your best friend for baking physics simulations using any shapes for collision. I am not at the computer, but can help in the evening with that.

THANKS!!!   That's pretty much what I was afraid of...so why do they give the option of Self-Mesh and Covex-Hull if they really won't work ...I'm just  sayin'  :P:P
I already tried the shapes thing but didn't quite work for me....guess I'll have to learn Blender!!!:w00t::D

The other 2 (self-mesh and convex hull) are for rigid to rigid collisions. Send me the mask and mannequin if you wish, I'll try to simulate in Blender, or just shrink-wrap around the head.

If you can't get it working, Daz has a mask that also has a mask down morph that works great in CC3 (these images are from CC3):

Not sure 100% sure Im following the issue you having but I have always found that on a model when I create a weight map and nothing on it has full blackness then it completely falls off the character like yours is.
I find that when some parts of the models weight map has some full blackness then it stops falling off the character.

In this image I am showing where I think I would set yours where the weight map will be fully black so it wont flow and the rest of it I would make the rest of it flowable.
I don't know if that's how you did it? I just find as I am saying here that if I make all of the model flowable then it completely falls of the character and I thought I would just say it here in case it might help you.
If not then sorry for adding this post.

Here is a demo of what I am thinking because of seeing you model fully falling off the character

Here is 2 weight maps I made 1 bad and 1 ok but should be made better...oh well just showing what I am saying.
https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/c9b7a4a0-69db-4c01-a7b4-ba2b.png

Ok add the bad one to a model
https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/9a6f62ef-374b-465a-b050-9f61.png

and here is a video showing that it falls off the character like yours does.

So now I add the better weight map
https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/dfc05bdc-997f-4318-9830-75a6.png

and now it works better although like I said it all needs to be made better than what I am showing here. Just did it quick to show how to stop it from falling off the character

Delerna, it is not weight paint problem Mark is having. It is a modeling issue. He wants to wrap the mask around the face tight. So baking Physics simulation and then exporting alembic is one way of doing so.
But not in this case, because iClone simulation engine is real-rime and has limited capability to preform complex simulations with Self Mesh as a collision shape.

Ahh ok. Thanks 4u2ges.
Sorry I was going off by me watching the video he posted that shows me the model falling off the character.
Hmmm, Mark, do you want me to remove what I posted? Sorry for getting your words wrong.....oh my head for reading and listening to non simple words, I can only follow images mostly these days, Hmmm I think I better stop.

No need to take it out Delerna, someone might find it useful.

But here is a simulation from rather quick made mask. Not sure if that is what Mark was looking for, I can share anyway.

Thanks 4u2ges mate.
Only problem I had is with myself. I definitely still know how to do and make what I want to work on for making movies and making models. I just have a difficulty these days remembering what many words mean when they aren't common words we all use, and that's why I said I might stop trying to give answers to questions.
Definitely good to see what you showed.

Hey Delerna, don't worry about it. We are not getting younger :)
And your detailed tutorials (like the latest one with new Appearance Editor) are greatly appreciated at the forum. Keep it up, while you can!

I am on the other hand was playing with physics this morning, trying rough simulation for possible morph to the original mask.

Here is a final version with Blender simulation imported as alembic into iClone.
It is an animated prop, which should fit CC3_Base Plus male. From there desired frame can be baked or converted into morph, or whatever... ;)
Then attached, weighted, physics..etc.

OH MY!!!! That's fantastic...I'm not worthy!!!! THANKS 4u2ges!!!!:D

And thanks Delerna for spending the time noodling on this for me !!!!;)

No problem Mark. :)
