Skin below head gets brighter with each "Update Skin Texture"

When generating a face texture with Headshot initially the skin color on the neck is the same as the face skin color but with every new update after changing the face mask or eyelid mask the skin below the neck gets brighter and more desaturated.
See attached screenshot for how it looks after a few mask updates.

Is this a known bug or is there any workaround?

I have just converted a character to CC3+ from CC3.

I vaguely recall this being a problem a while back and wonder if it's the same thing.
I'm off to get creative with search phrases ;)

Alex, yes I can easily reproduce this issue and it's quite annoying.
Would be great to get some statement from official support on this!

The CC3 team are aware of the issue and plan to get it fixed as soon as possible. The next planned update is due this month so hopefully not too long to wait.
