I was working with the software just the other day and got TTS with my avatar working well. Nothing, AFAIK, has changed but now when I try to get audio in, either from file, TTS, or record, the system just hangs. Nothing is responsive and I get the windows chime when I click around the screen. I have to end the process with task manager. This occurs with stock avatars as well. I've reinstalled the software but the same thing keeps happening. I'm out of ideas.

Have you been using CrazyTalk on a dual screen setup recently? A common problem occurs when reverting back to a single screen and some panels are now out of view on the single screen.
If this is the case, please reopen CT8 on the dual screen setup and then bring all panels back onto the main screen.

Yep, this was the problem. I had changed which of my monitors, in a multi-display set up, was set to primary. Once I changed it back to the last working configuration, the problem was solved.
