Hi,
is it possible to export a character as vector? For example, Elastic Folks seems to be vector based but launching the PSD editor in composer mode, they are automatically rasterized. I use Affinity Designer so would be helpful to work on vector files.

This software isn't vector and Ai friendly yet. You might consider emailing their support team but be aware of the 2 - 3 days wait time for a response.
