Hello, I am following the tutorials with CC3 3.2.... I am not finding the white box in Accessory > Others. I have been trying a few things to no avail. I *can* find it under Stage Elements > Props > Substance, but it won't show up on the right side of the screen as an element under Appearance. I am unable to duplicate the tutorial because of this. Does anybody have any advice as to how I may move ahead with the above issue? Thank you!

Also, in my search, I just found that my CC3 won't install the free Props Package. I see the box used for the tutorial in the package picture.

That was a tutorial for CC 2.0. Thing are changing rapidly around here. I never used them. But nonetheless, I wonder why RL converted those boxes from .ccAcc to .iProp in CC 3 And why folder name is substance if one cannot apply the substance to those props?
I am not sure if sharing those accessory boxed would violate anything. Otherwise, I can share and post a link here for those who wish to play with substance for them.

Thanks for the info. Sure, if you don't think you'd have any problems with RL. If it would allow me to be able to replicate the tutorial, I'd be happy to download it.
Also, do you have any ideas as to why I can't install the Props package? I can see it there in CC3 Smart Gallary under Free Resource. I click it and it hiccups and nothing.

Here they are. Copy them into the respective folder manually. https://www.dropbox.com/s/fuaxfliop32zafm/Box_Acc.zip?dl=0 You would probably be able to follow tutorial. The only difference is, that the GUI has changed. The tree structure is on the left and settings/configurations are opening on the right.
About props I am not sure. I do not have Smart Gallery installed. But I suspect you might not have installed CC Resource pack. There are 2 of them. You could find them at your Registration page. Click Download next to CC3 and download packs from within popup window.

Thank you! I was able to bring them up in CC3. I still can't get them to show up on the right side in the Morphs or Appearance Editors. I was able to do that with a piece of clothing by clicking the "Convert to Accessory" button, but it won't show up with these files. Still banging my head against this off and on for a couple days.
I do thank you for your help tho.

4u2ges I woke up this morning, started my laptop, read your last post, (thanks!), and proceeded to show you nothing on the right. Well, I don't know, maybe shutting down overnight, but I have it showing up on the right now! Thank you for your help, I'm sure it was the .ccAcc(s) that you posted, simply because that is what made it work. Why it didn't show last night is a mystery. Problem solved, and thanks again!

Now I'm curious. Were you able to modify props' characteristics on the right side before this latest rendition of CC?

As far as I can remember, you couldn't see any props at all in CC 1 + 2 import. (I'm actually pretty sure) There were also none in CC 1 + 2. This has only been available since CC 3.(that's why all props are iProps, since there are no ccProps) But you can already change the props: Visible if you insert a different texture in base color (Substance is not possible) You can also use substance texture if you want to use Iray. Drag and drop the substance file onto the prop) If you render it with the IRay plug-in it has taken on the substance texture) Greetings from Germany Postfrosch

I believe 4u2ges already helped. He is in an earlier timezone...:P
The trick to use props before CC3 was to have them as accessory, which is a prop attached to a character. And you can modify those, just like a prop.
As mentioned, in CC3 props were introduced, so you don't need this workaround anymore.
But I just checked and the original accessories are still there (under Accessories/Other). And you can use the Appearance Editor on them.
BTW, did you install the available Resource and Bonus packs for CC3?

I did not have them either as OP. I had to copy/paste from CC 2 installation. I know why though. My CC3 has different path for templates than CC2.
Interesting fact/bug/omission about attaching props. You cannot attach them to avatars in CC 3. There is no context menu. But there is a link "Attach" in the "Edit" menu. Attach what? When prop on the stage is selected, the Attach is grayed out. When characters' accessory is selected, Attach becomes available :Whistling: Should not it be the other way around? Otherwise I do not understand what it is for...
Update OK, I figured it out. You use Attach is you want to reattach accessory to a different bone. But I do not see the point. You have an attach section under any accessory where you map to bones....

I remember now: When installing CC3 there was the option during installation to copy CC1/2 assets over. That must be why I have them.

animagic I had to manually place the .ccAcc files that 4u2ges hooked my up with. That said, there is one big question mark. After initially installing everything, I realized that it took up too much space on my solid-state HD on C:, so I tried to move everything over to D:. It was tedious, and I thought I got it all. However, I decided I wasn't sure, so I uninstalled *everything*, and re-installed on D:. I have found that after that, I still had to uninstall some packages in Smart Gallery because I would right click > View Items and they'd all be blank. So I uninstalled them and reinstalled them in the Gallery and it was ok then. I do believe I got them all, but I'm thinking it is the most likely answer at this point.
