Hello,

I am using Marvelous to CC workflow and am having issue with the draping.  My robes won't fall like cloth around the character.

I am transferring skin weights and have used a few of the different options to no success.  I am wondering if weight maps might make things work, but I can seem to find a workflow for that.

Any ideas?

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!

I encountered the same thing with a similar outfit,    first you have to match your t-poses -  2nd I had to rework the weight mapping. the reason it's looking contorted is that the weight mapping is not correct yet in cc3,  and the Y pose is making it obvious.  - at least that was my experience.   -  The full body weight map,  is really for a basic dress, not a one size fits all, so tweaking the weight map is inevitable - and often quite tedious. - adding cloth physics to it in iclone changes it again,  where the cloth drapes on the legs,  and doesn't glue to them.

When the poses match, everything is fine.  What exactly did you do with the weight maps?https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/8b69d39d-5b31-40a8-b7d2-d9b5.jpg

The cloth weighting to the skeleton looks fine. But you do need to add a physics weight map in iClone. See here:

if you plan to use your character in only Iclone,  Rampa's suggestion is good because the cloth physics balances it out with the draping.  But if you plan to use it outside iclone,  then you have to rework the weight mapping for more precision.  There are tutorials that explain in detail how to adjust the weight mapping - too much detail to explain in one post tho.
