Hi Peter

Thanks for the info. It sent me round in circles to begin with and told me that I did not have Pop Video Converter installed was just about to contact support and thought just one more try and woo hoo it worked said I would receive a mail and did all installed fine.

Hate to be a pain...but my convertions are just becoming iclone files !! do I need to create a popvideo file in iclone ? This drag and drop is all a drag and drop become whole of background !!! I need help, I have been trying to resolve for an hour now. Thanks Shirley

did you try "ctrl + left click drag" from your windows folder into iclone? If you just left click drag , the video will go straight into the background.

Thanks...but I don't want it as a "background" I want it as an actual movable person as in pop video promo. No, so far I have not found the answer, but thanks anyway.

Here's my 2cents worth...

I believe The Converter is doing a registration of the converter..for Chroma Keying...but any video after that can be converted straight to popvideo

So basically...do at least ONE Video and apply any Chroma key to it. Let it convert that to an AVI...You don't have to actually use it, it just registers your Video Card parameters, I'd Guess.

Then from that point on Videos can go straight to popVideo with or without Chroma keying them.

As far as using them in a scene as an overlay to your project. Add a Plane or other object to the scene, make sure it's selected in the scene manager and then you can either open the popVideo as the Diffuse source or drag it directly to the Plane or other surface you wish to use.

You can also just Press CTRL and Drag your popVideo Character directly into the scene.
That's as simple as I can make it.

When I log in and check for upgrades this is all that I see:

I have ver. 1.6 installed and clicking "Check for upgrades" tells me that I have the latest version installed.

What's a shame :\

a) Just another trick in a try to promote iWidget.

b) Export to Masked Alpha AVI... who need this ???
If it's to work into a Video Editor, all video include tools to do this easily.

Is that was too hard to produce a true AVI with alpha or a FLV ?
Not all want and need iWidget which is also too expensive :\

c) In the product page, there's a not for a special $69.95 for iClone4 user
But the thruth is $79.95 in the Bonus and Upgrade page.

Finally, FXHome CompositeLab do a better job.. by far, and have much much much more!
and best... it do the right job.

You technical beast... whatever it is doing "It" is not doing it for me. All I want is what the nice sales person showed me in iclone. Click here, drag that etc. So far its all a drag....but its like that some days. I will be in touch soon teacher.

i had the same problem and realized I never registered the popvideo converter with the reallusion website....open your "About Pop/Video Converter" tab, copy down that serial number, then input it in the search / registration page in your account and it should be fine after.

I think this could be because yours is a version Supplied by Digital Juice rather than from Reallusion.

Please contact Support through the usual Support Form and they should be able to help you.

Hi Peter,

I'm having the issue where I have the upgrade button, click on it, it asks "Are you sure you want to Activate", I click OK and nothing happens. I've tried this several times over the past few hours and I've been checking both my inbox and spam folders just in case there was a delay but nothing has shown up yet. Any ideas on what the issue may be? :)

Sorry to hear the upgrade process hasn't worked for you.

It appears you have done everything correctly so the problem must be elsewhere. I know it's a pain but if you have checked your spam or junk folders then you will need to contact Support so they can supply your new serial number and download link.

First, thank you for the notice which I first saw on the Reallusion website rather than this forum.

Second, my upgrade/download went perfect the first time. I was surprised it didn't remove the 1.6 version to install itself and wish it had but. . . I'm sure there's a wise reason behind that.

Now my early impressions:

1. Chroma keying--THANKS for the all in one keying and mask software. It does a fundamentally nice job. Probably will do better when I input better lighted green or blue screens. What I did see was quick and simple and certainly speeds up work. THANK YOU! I have several video editors and they are a bit of a pain to use for keying and creating masks so popVideo 2.0 is unconditionally welcome for me.

2. The keying isn't as clean as I'd like and the adjustment levers don't seem to make any real difference as far as I can see. My use is mostly widget creation and later will be more iClone specific with live talent placed with 3-D object interaction. Clean keys will be a MUST. But again the fault may be my not having well lighted screens. We will see once school is over and I start filming in earnest.

3. A pull down menu with such things as an undo selection among other things would be nice.

4. The .avi files play nice with Camtasia, VisionLab, Ulead, Vegas Pro 9, and Ultra 2. In case you decide to do some back and forth work.
