Hello!

I want to point out an import-export error while launching Affinity Designer as a PSD Editor.

The problem is that it is impossible to synchronize different eye, mouth, or other sprites of a character.

Here are simple steps to reproduce this error :

1) add any G3 360 Human actor to a scene

2) right-click and launch PSD Editor (Affinity Designer)

3) Inside Affinity designer, you could change anything, or you could leave all the things as is and go to File - Export and save as a new PSD over the file that was automatically created during the launching process in  https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/1e2baf7b-f804-4db6-9fa3-e0ff.png

4) The character will be updated in CTA with flattened eyes, mouth, and nose.

The question is, is there a solution?

I've managed to solve that problem by enabling all the layers in Affinity Designer before exporting to PSD.
By default, when CTA launches Affinity Designer, just some eye and mouth sprites are visible (for example, for Eyes - only Normal -Iris and Eye White are visible). All other eyes and mouth sprites are invisible.
And if you export PSD from Affinity Designer, all these invisible layers become transparent.
To enable the visibility of all the layers in Affinity Designer is a solution.
But it is not very convenient if you need to jump between CTA and Affinity Designer back and forth finetuning your character.
Each time you should enable all the layers manually in Affinity Designer before exporting.
It would be better if it were another solution)

Great to hear you have resolved the problem. Unfortunately this is a known problem with Affinity Photo/Designer. We did post the solution some time ago on the page below. There are also some other great tips and tricks there so well worth a look.
