It would be amazing if you can incorporate the same functionality to import GIF animations like in your cloud animator, except add this ability to Cartoon Animator 4's desktop software suite. Also the ability to import transparent alpha channels of video.

There are many pre-made templates on envato's marketplace for after effects that have cartoon style animations however they are a lot more in depth and complex in comparison to what I can produce just using cartoon animator. It would be great to have the ability to export a complex gif animation in after effects and then be able to convert it into a prop and save that prop for future use within Cartoon Animator 4. This would extend the capabilities and functionalities of the software, and also make it easier for people to create complex looking animations all within Cartoon Animator 4 without the need to jump back and forth between software's.

Would make my life here at Cinemaflight.com that much easier! Love your software and use it regularly! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ0eO68PDRE

Hi...

Thank you for the feedback.

If you are using the Windows version of Cartoon Animator 4 you can use our .popVideo format to bring in video with a transparent background. Using our popVideo Converter software you can convert green, blue or any solid color background video into a .popVideo. If interested a link to the product page is below.

And I will chime in here to agree that popVideo works amazingly with Cartoon Animator 4! I've been able to use effects and my own chromakey videos converted to popVideo in CTA4 with excellent results.

UPDATE:

The CTA team will look at adding support for Animated GIF in the future but for now they suggest using a converter such as:

GIF to MP4 Converter

I am trying to make video in CA4 using facial mocap , but hit a problem with maximum of 2000 frames. How can I make 5 minute video using mocap plugin in CA4?

A Cartoon Animator 4 project can be a maximum of 27,000 frames which is 15 minutes. To change the size of your project just open "Project Settings" by clicking the button on the Play Bar. Please see number 11 from the page below for a visual guide to locating this button.

animated gifs would be great,  It would allow us to put up various effects in the market place,  I picked up some really nice tools in past humble bundles just for that. -  Spriter Pro would become a perfect companion software for the CTA series - https://store.steampowered.com/app/332360/Spriter_Pro/

for us mac users, will a tool like this be available anytime soon or any recommendations? I can just use parallels or bootcamp, but to have it work with mac CTA4... would be best for us.

hi this would be an great idea
but having worked with gif's not all of them have a map!

so, when importing back into another programme

the colours mess up!

your work may become pixelated

please bear this in mind

 hope this helps
