Will report here every issue i have using Unreal Live Link...

First of all, I always get this error after transfer:

Yesterday, cameras and lights were visible in "World outliner" and i could access them.
Today I can see them in Unreals Live Link Panel but they do not appear...

After a weekend of Unreal Live Link DISTRACTION my conclusion is; "forget it"...
I uninstalled Unreal and the Plug-in :D

The process is a PITA, getting those fancy worlds as advertised is a huge amount of work,
and the first step, learning how to do so would take a lot of energy.
And if you finally have your fancy world, you will never animate as accurate as in iClone,
with your scene in front of your character...
The fact an export licence is needed for all my RL stuff also makes it unsexy.
And after falling into the DAZ content trap (still love DAZ ;)), I don't want to fall in the Unreal Asset Store trap...
Well, at least I tried it.
So, @ RL please IMPROVE NATIVE RENDER (volumetric lights would be a big improvement for me)

And now, back to what I love to do,
create imaginary worlds and animate the life and death of my protagonists with iClone ;)

As I'm now on vacation from my "daily rut" job and corona still disturbs my stop-motion workshops
I had/have time and 6 days ago I decided to take another plunge into Unreal + Live Link.
After a bugging start, with the help from you and Rosuckmedia 3 days ago I achieved this:

So, not that much experience, and I really feel like a newbie.
It's very different to iClone, the whole cable-stuff (nodes?) overwhelms me.
But I am convinced Unreal is an extra option to reach my cinematic goals.
So, I am glad I tried it again. Will keep Unreal installed... :D

And here is a teaser of my new project, which will definitely will be made in Unreal with iClone Live Link:

Though I hope this problem/BUG gets fixed:

Did you record the Video in 30 Fps? It is lagging
By toystorylab - 5 Years Ago
No, 60 fps, but it's lagging due to my map, which is huge.
I was told to deactivate most stuff to get more GPU/CPU.
Trying to do so for the moment...

What is your fps both in iclone and unreal? And. What is your video card
By toystorylab - 5 Years Ago
Hm, did not really look during capture
Plays in iClone between 48 and 55 FPS, have no idea where I can see that in Unreal
Redid the process with most things deactivated, that worked way better.
Hair is still not right, but hope to find a solution...

Will try tomorrow with character wireframed.
For today I had enough ;)
