How do I import a custom pose/camera from CC3 to iClone 7?

And why is it any more complicated than just importing/moving a file from my file explorer. Does the same company not make both of these programs?

You can save out the motion pose by going to your custom folders in content explorer->Motion (or MotionPlus), select your character and press the '+' sign to save it.
Right-click on the motion->find file.
From explorer, drag the file into iClone while your character is selected.

i tried dragging it directly into iclone. i even dragged it right into the same content folder in iclone that it was saved into in cc3. it wouldn't take it.

just tried this again with the character selected in iclone 7. Both programs are running as administrator. Does not work. Get the little circle with a line through it on my courser when i drag it over.

Did you drag the file directly onto the character in iClone?
This is what should work after all. But maybe your motion file is not compatible.
Can you post screenshots?

This is really strange.
What type of character is this?
Where does it come from?

comes from cc3. a program made by reallusion, right?

I've just tried this with every kind of human character and always it worked.
So i guess there's something wrong with your installation.
To sort that out, could you provide me the avatar?
Also, i guess you tried this with some different motions, but in your video you are using the default pose, so i assume it is happening always.

If drag and drop isn't working with these files try loading a character in iClone, select it, and then choose File > Import > Import from the Menu Bar. Then select the .rlMotion or .iMotionPlus you want to load.

Does this work ok?

The Avatar works just fine.
You mentioned you're running both programs with administrator rights.
Don't do that. It will cause more problems than it may seem to fix (it sounds good, i know ;))

I've found a workaround by saving a pose in cc3 as "motionplus" and importing (not exporting) to iClone 7 via "file>merge motion plus."

It's not as easy as what I'm supposed to be able to do, but it works.
