Hi, I have recently bought iClone with 3DXchange PRO 7.61 for importing models (no program seems to know iClone formats).
I try to import FBX (most common) but 3DXchange crashes after import status bar reaches 100% (tried different options).
Simple Paint 3D (for free in WIndows 10) opens it with correct applied textures in no time and no manual, so the data is correct.
Is 3DXchange 7.61 buggy and I should wait/hope for a fixed version?
I just spend a couple hundred bucks and it seems 3DXchange can only import OBJ reliable (and that is without textures).

Try importing the FBX directly into iClone.

Just tried that.
It crashed too.

Can you post (somewhere -- probably too big for this forum) a link to the file so we could test it out?

Ok, I got it importing.
I had to convert it to a different version(?) of fbx, which iClone / 3DXchange accepts.
A followup question if you do not mind:
All tutorials speak of the T-pose in order to import characters for bonemapping.
But most models come in A-pose.
Do you need to get the model in T-pose first?
If so, is it possible with Reallusion tools?

You can modify the pose in 3DX -- just select the bone(s) and select rotate. Save out as your t-pose.

Thank you very much.
