Hi,

I am new to iclone and working with Realistic Human 100 model for some of my experiment. I am in Iclone 7 and CC3 latest version. As a base model I am using the Outfits_DH Kevin.ccAvatar and after that applying any of the Real Human 100 model on it there is a visible border line in the texture of head and body.

Please let me know if I am applying the models properly or not.

When adding a new head from the RH 100 pack uncheck "Apply Texture"

After that no seam will be visible.

Thanks for reply, I got your point, but if I need a character with the existing texture how can I create the model?

For example I need the M_Y_03 model then just importing morph will ignore the body color as well -

applying only morph -

Applying Texture :

So I will lose the whole advantage of this package. I want to create characters from different geographical regions/ ethnicity and variations.

I have mentioned this a while a go for the Head Shot plugin, where the same problem occurs, but with dark skin it is more obvious. The problem lies with mismatches between the Digital Human Shaders for Head and Body.

I agree that it should be possible to apply the heads and have a proper match without a seam between head and neck.

From the looks of it it seems that the parameters applied to both skin areas are different. It is not just the Diffuse color. It may be possible with a lot of tweaking to get a match, but I couldn't do it and I have some experience in this area...Unsure

I think that RL should look at this.

Someone needs to create a feedback tracker on it then.

This does work if you start with the CC3_Base Male

and then add one of the Heads:

After that you can apply a DH Shader Preset:

Forget what I said in my last post. There is still a noticeable seam between the head and the rest of the body. w00tCrazyAngryCrying

I have used the Realistic Human 100 pack since CC1/2, and I have used it for a dark-skinned character while not noticing a major seam as we see now.

I am currently in the process of updating my characters to the latest shaders and after conversion this same character has a noticeable seam.

So I went back and recreated the character the way I made her originally.

I start out with a CC1 character with Traditional shader and then apply the CC1 version of the head. To improve the texture quality I set the size of Body and Head textures to 2048 x 2048 using the Appearance Editor (which works for CC1 characters).

I then convert the shader to PBR. The matching result is much better and there is no seam.

I then converted the character to a CC3, which will also apply the Digital Human Shader (it needs to done separately for the head). The result is still good:

Finally, applied the CC3 version of the head directly to a CC3 character. Now there is clearly a seam:

I also tried my round-about method with the M_Y_003 male character, who has darker skin, and in that case a slight seam is noticeable, but it is still much better than with direct application of the head. If I have some energy I will write something up for FT.

Has this issue been resolved? Im getting way more than a seam, in many instances the body texture doesnt match the head texture at all, regardless what character version i start with. I just bought the pack for the black friday sale and while i like the textures and morphs, as is this is unusable =(
