Hi, I see the Thursday special are some clothes for Chuck G5. I can't seem to find Chuck in iClone to see if he needs some new clothes. Does anyone know where I would find Chuck? Thanks for your help.

If you go to the content tab the second icon on the top from left to right is an icon looks like a stick figure running, click it and you should see a folder call g5 characters and there you will find chuck (also there is a search function and you can just type chuck). I must say he is quite ugly, he belongs to an older generation of avatars, so in my case i would save the money and invest it on character creator assets, those avatars are much better looking

If you haven't yet, you may have to install the bonus content for iClone 7. It includes the older characters.

I didn't install the bonus content when I changed computers. So now that I have Chuck - What happens if one uses G5 clothes on another character? Can they be edited in CC3? Can Chuck be edited in CC3?

Thank you for both for the help.

P.S. I use search all the time with the secret hope that the developers will come up with a quicker algorithm. It really crawls on my computer which is an i9 with 16 gigs of RAM.

Chuck cannot be edited in CC (different mesh and bone structure).

The G5 clothes cannot used directly in CC, but they can be converted. There is a tutorial about that somewhere (by Rampa, I believe).

The idea is to export them as OBJ file (you'll need 3DXchange for that) and then import them into CC (as accessory). There they can be assigned cloth status and using the tools within CC be made to fit a loaded character.

I realize that this is is a sketchy outline, so hopefully someone will provide more detail.

I totally understand the export -> obj -> 3DX -> CC -> iclone. I started out using iClone thinking I was going to make a bunch of the assets myself in Blender, Marvelous Designer and Zbrush and I spent a lot of time and effort learning how to do that. I soon realized I'd get no animating done if I spent all my time on asset creation so I started stocking up from the Reallusion store and marketplace and some other places which still require the pipeline approach so I could get to work animating.

Knowing how to make clothes makes me more apt to purchase them. It's an effort to create them properly.

Thank you again for your help.
