Any chance we'll get a Unity live link? I'd love to see what I'm motion capturing straight in my scene ...

I would also like to know if there are plans for Live Link in Unity.

I hope unity3d get a LiveLink my guess probably first quarter 2020 hopefully around the same time as iclone 8 3dxchange 8 my goal is to buy a mocap suit and live face for iphoneX but I did see video on unity with Unity Facial Mocap Iphone x live  and CC3 already has Unity with HDRP so Iclone 8 may have livelink built into the software I just hope they cloth physics will work in unity3d the same as it is in iclone.

We are in the first quarter of 2020 now, but I heard no news about a Live Link version for Unity. I worry that the software creators have some kind of ideology war going on about UE4 vs. Unity and so we may never get a Unity version.I really hope I'm proven wrong or else I can toss out all of my Reallusion software packages which I bought thinking "sure, of course Unity will follow ASAP..."

Listen, RL is not a huge company with infinite resources. A lot of development has gone into Unreal, which has already taken away from some of the requests of the core users of iClone, who are not interested in game development. I would not want them to go full in for Unity, which would further delay work on the core functionality. There is absolutely no proof of an ideology war, but then again we live in a time where conspiracy theories are favored over actual facts.

It will be interesting to see what happens after next week (Aug 28th) that Apple have given Epic a deadline to comply or face removal of all Unreal Engine functionality on iOS/Mac.
I predict Reallusion beating a hasty path toward Unity, at least for livelink, perhaps.

If Apple alters their platforms to exclude the unreal engine
that will only force those  two or three  game developers  still using macs, to by a PC.
And then they can safely buy Reallusion products on a proper windows machine with
complete up to date NVIDIA hardware  support without some dodgey,
unsupported Boot camp emulation/E-GPU, nonsense buggering up thier pipeline
so such a move by little timmy might foment a few more sales of RL products.

But please don't talk about a conspiracy right away.
I have Iclone as my right hand and I also know that IC cannot do everything.
i studied Unity as a certified developer and so i can't switch to unreal.
More communication between RL Software and Unity will be a very good thing.
Thanks
