Are we really not allowed to sell 3D prints?

The EULA states max 10 3D prints and not for commercial purposes. I find this quite astounding as it completely removes a revenue model for indie 3D cartoon creators. I understand that using a base mesh in this way would be dishonest on the part of the studio, but what about character that are created from a massive time investment on our part? Looking at the character you would never say where it originated. How then is this license restriction justified? Would a clay manufacturer restrict the sale of sculptures made from their clay?

I think you could get away with exporting the model and using another rendering engine to make a poster such as using iray or Blender's cycles.

If you form this block of clay to a human yourself, it should not be a problem:

But if you grab one of the sculptures, you are in trouble.

But you could try contact RL and ask what the price is to extend the licence.
