Hi all,
I noticed today the old IC3 dream girls collection is the weekly special till wednesday for 1$ (3$ export price...why not). So if your looking for more sexy dances or maybe a dominatrix or two its a cant miss price...its old but the motions are worth a buck to me plus the gals are relatively low poly. And there's a whip dance and a flex whip accesory. Win!

Another fun one this week - 10 Live Plant scenes for 1$! I dont usually bark for RL products but I love things for a buck (and I love Paul Verhoeven...good one Rottadamic). Amusingly this was one of the first packs that I bought (or maybe it was a package purchase with IC2 and the G2 anatomy pack) and I had the box with cds mailed to me. I think I may still have the boxes somewhere..hehe.

This weeks special is the Hundred Year War pack for 10 bucks. 10 bucks is a threshold where I could buy a sandwich or a cheap pack of smokes vs a RL content pack from 8-10- years ago that's so old the promotional materials cant be played in a modern browser. I went ahead and bought the pack (gave up smoking long ago and sandwiches have too many carbs). The G3 characters are pretty awful but the textures can be improved playing with the bump maps. Still the proportions are pretty wonky and the faces tend to stare out into the void. There's three war horses in the pack if your looking for some horse variety. Also a lot of animations for both the knights/knaves and horses including a fair amount of death animations that tend to be rather helpful in an action sequence. Good amount of accessory weapons and helmets and of note the longbow and crossbow accessory have perform motions that expand the bow and shoot the arrows. Also the catapult prop has a similar perform motion. The other props are pretty meh though from a ruined castle and broken windmill and a rather blah terrain prop. I will say though I really liked the mountainous sky-dome. Maybe my favorite sky-dome prop I've seen.
Over the last few months I've felt massively ripped off laying down a dollar for the Campus Classroom pack that was largely unusable and felt like a savvy consumer grabbing the Dream Girls for 3$ and the Evil Forces pack for 5$ (my favorite content special yet). Scifi Robots was a 10$ investment as well that I'll likely find handy at some point in the dystopian future.
Is this one worth the 10 dollars? For me, yea but just barely.

As I'm not into "medieval" I never bought this pack, but for 10,- $ it's definitely worth the price.
I bought it now and it will be handy sooner or later for "the revenge of the pink knight"...
Thanx for pointing to those deals quite regularly, I mostly forget to check the weekly deals.
And mostly I don't pick em up as they probably will end up never beeing used as they are "outdated".
But sometimes, I do...

Ha! Maybe your pink knight can try out for my medieval purple elvis band! The nice thing about these deals is the Xmas morning vibe of opening up the pack to see what content will be usable and amusing.

And as it is mostly only a few bucks we spent, it keeps beeing amusing.
Otherwise it would be a bad awakening...

If you have 3DX, you can re-purpose that armor to use on a CC character (CC3 Pipeline required). Takes a little work, but then you can use the appearance editor to recolor that armor.

I buy weekly specials as much as I can, but it would be really nice if you could improve the quality once in a while Frankly, I was expecting a very good product because of Black Friday

I wanted to evaluate this week's discounted products.
First of all, the "Chuck & The Neighbors" package available in the content store.

I never plan to use G5 characters.
If they had morphs working in CC3 and CC4 maybe I could buy it.
This gives the impression of a company trying to make money on very old packages on the weekly discounted product page.
I don't know if it's worth buying just for the animations.
But right now I'm not very willing to pay $5 just for old animations.

There is really little discount on this package. For the price of 1 for 4.
Also, this pack was distributed for free on the Unreal Marketplace in previous months. So anyone using UE already has this package.
Although I am not very inclined to buy props, I would definitely recommend this product for those who do not own it.
In short, I will not be buying discounted products for the first time this week.
Even though the prices are discounted, if I spend 10-15 dollars every week on old packs, it will be 60-70 dollars per month, over 600 dollars a year, which is quite high for me.
I can save this money until black friday and buy new products worth 1,200 dollars.
I think you can offer new products at a discount of 75% by making them monthly instead of making the discounted products weekly and putting the old ones.

Many items in the weekly deals are not ones that I want - mostly 2D/Cartoon Animator stuff even though I have Cartoon Animator. I started with iClone 2 in 2007. I am not interested in 3D weapons and similar content and of the stuff offered in the weekly deals that does interest me, I already own much of it. The last few weekly deals offered content that I had already bought in earlier weekly deals at the same price. Is the content in the weekly deals reaching a start over point?

This week's discounted product offers 58 animations with the "The Show Host" package, which is probably available to most of the old users here.
The animation pack is quite old, but for $5, I didn't want to miss it. There will certainly be times when it will work for me.

With Reference the scifi set. This is a daz set WIP but I used this set last year in a scifi project which part of is shown here, should be time linked @ 3.20. I would have paid full price for this years ago but if I didn't have it I would have bought it for the very low price of 5 bucks, these type of props always come in handy. the corridor leading in is from daz, it's only the very short shot of all the Daleks in this set.
The time stamp dosen't appear to work so scrub to 3 mins 21 secs

This week's discount product is Elite Characters.
Its price is 30 dollars.
I wanted to try the Trial version and although the slider is downloaded, it does not appear in the slider list.
For those who use this package; Is it worth buying this package?
Or should I spend my money on something else since it's an old package?
For comparison, I can add an additional $50 to this amount and purchase the Cartoon Character Designers Bundle with the extended license.
However, I am waiting for the black friday/christmas discounts as the 30% discount campaign offers less discount than the elite coupon.

I have those Elite characters...
They can be a start for new characters, convert cc3 to cc3+.
Though change eyes (they have "RTL" shaders) if you want to use in Unreal.
"Jamal" as is:
and "Jamal" converted from cc3 to cc3+ and eyes replaced with eyes from "Human Anatomy"

Even though the characters don't look very good, I think their morphs will work.
I guess I'll have to decide within a week whether to buy this package or not.
