Facial Data Lost on other Characters

In this example video I just rendered, you'll notice the first character has facial data that comes from a saved animation I clipped and added to custom animations.

I then applied the same data to all characters including the first again, and the facial data is gone after the first iteration of the first character?

Why is this so?

Also, what is the best way to sync up characters to a beat, is it a matter of my timing and adobe premier, or is there something to help match beat and rhythm in CA4?

Thank you in advance!

When saving custom Animation, are the folders specifically different, or are they just named Face, Motion, Face, Perform, and Action Menu for a reason?

It looks like if I save the face animation in the face folder then go reapply it to all characters, it then works?

Just want to understand so I do it right the first time.

You can try to save perform file then apply to characters.

perform file consists of expressions and motions

The Face folder in Content Manager is for facial animation only, Motion for body animation, and Perform contains both facial and body animation in one clip. Action Menu is a custom list of motions that are saved with the character or loaded onto a character from Content Manager.

To save a custom Perform clip containing expressions and body animation you can use Collect Clip. This is explained HERE
