I have exported a project using Self Hosting Option. I preview it in my web browser and works great. After that i made some changes in the project, and everytime i try to export it the browser preview appears exactly like the first export. The changes are saved in the project, but the export doesn't show the changes, instead it shows the first export. Please i need to know what causes this problem. I tried restarting the computer, even reinstalling the program.

Hello, i am experiencing the same problem.

I just bought WidgetCast Pro and i created a website sample which i have uploaded to my website. If i make changes to that project the results i get either by just previewing it from the export folder or by uploading to my website is the same as the very first export.

Furthermore, when i create and export a different widget and export it for self hosting it doesn't load at all. It just shows the outline and never loads.

I am using windows 7 64 bit. Maybe this has something to do with my system, for example how it handles the templates or something? I am very desperate because WidgetCast seems like a fantastic piece of software and i can't use it the way i want.

Forgot to mention that i used the trial version but uninstalled it before installing the normal one. Any advice or help will be highly appreciated.

Hello Elvis and Mars,

did you paste the new embedded code after you export? WidgetCast will generate a embedded code when edit each time.

the steps to show the new project are:

1. export it as you used to.

2. paste the new embedded code(from new online.html file) to what you want.

3. clean the cache of the browser.

it should work :)

enjoy it

Hi Derek, thanks for replying,

Let me see if i understand correctly...

The online.html is not the file that i am going to use-upload? It's just a code that i will copy and paste on other html file? It says: "<!-- Start to copy from here -->" and "<!-- End until this point -->". Does this have to do with what you are saying?

What if i just want to upload it as a whole, not as a part of a website... (As i mentioned in the previous post i created a kind of a mini website).

I have cleaned up my browser's cache, but still can't preview the new exports...

Thanks again for trying to help!

Hi,

When you expot widget to your self-hosting, you must type the correct hosting URL. After exporting, you will get some files, and then you need to upload all files to your web hosting.

If you do any change in your project, you still need to re-upload the files to your web hosting. After that, you are able to see the change.

You can also refer to the following:

How to show the new widget correctly?

1. Export it as you used to.

2. Paste the new embedded code(from new online.html file) to what you want.

3. Clean the cache of the browser.

Hey guys,
I have tried everything you said but the results were the same. I uninstalled the program, clear all leftovers, (registries, program data, etc) and reinstalled it!
I don't know what might was the problem but know everything works just fine now!
Thanks for your help! :)

Sometimes, when this happens to me, I simply export the widget again, but under a new name. If I post this new version of the widget under its new name, it will work.
