Hi,
I'm getting this error message:
"DX11 error: device or driver is unsupported. iClone will now close. Please try to clean re-install the display driver and try again"
I've checked my computer and it's running DirectX ver 12 -- does anyone know if this is the reason that iClone 7 Trial won't run?
How should I proceed to get the iClone 7 Trial software running?
My computer is an HP Pavilion P6610F, running Windows 10, quad-core CPU, and 12GB of RAM.
Thank you,
Jeff

Hi Jeff

If you are using Windows 10 then this uses DirectX 12. However to be able to run iClone 7 you also need to have an Nvidia or AMD graphics card that fully supports DirectX 11/12.

Looking at the system specs the HP Pavilion P6610F only comes with integrated graphics on the motherboard which means it is not compatible or powerful enough to run iClone 7. So unless you have added one of the supported Nvidia or AMD graphics cards listed on the page HERE you won't be able to run iClone 7 sadly.

This is a recurring question that just came up the other day. Even if your OS supports DX 11/12, it doesn't mean that your graphics system (integrated or GPU) does.

You can check this by running dxdiag.exe and selecting the Display tab. The graphics capabilities of your PC are listed under Feature Levels:
