Can anybody tell me how to stop the spotlight shining through the desk please?

sorted, adjusted the shadow strength.

I had an issue similar to this. It was light shining through the back mesh of the head illuminating the inside of the mouth. The fix I found was to adjust the shadow's bias . It's located under the visuals tab and then in another tab dedicated to shadow's .
