Hi,
I'm planning on getting the CC3 Pipeline + IClone 7 bundle for character creation and animation, but first i need to know, can you export the character with the animations from IClone and import it in UE4 without the 3dxchange? I know that you can export the character from CC3 Pipeline, but are the animations from IClone exported as well?
Thanks.

Hi...
You can't export characters and animations from iClone 7 without having 3DXchange 7 Pipeline.
However you can create the animations in iClone 7 and then export those saved animations from Character Creator 3 Pipeline without needing 3DXchange 7 Pipeline.

Peter (RL) (1/7/2019) Hi...
You can't export characters and animations from iClone 7 without having 3DXchange 7 Pipeline.
However you can create the animations in iClone 7 and then export those saved animations from Character Creator 3 Pipeline without needing 3DXchange 7 Pipeline.
Is there a video on how to do this? I did find one from iClone 7 using 3DXchange but when I try to do the same thing it strips away all of the animations. When I use 'Edit in Character Creator' from iClone 7, I don't see any animations with the character when it comes into CC3. So although I can get a character from CC3 to Unity (a good video for that), I am not successful in getting my character from CC3 to iClone 7 for animations, and then to Unity. Any suggestions?

The following instructions are pretty abridged and admittedly rushed, but hopefully it will help until I remember what thread I saw recently that has more detailed instructions as well as video tutorials. Once I remember, I will reply with a link to that thread. In the interim...
1.) Create custom character in character Creator 3 2.) Send character to iClone 3.) Add or create animations 4.) Export character in FBX format 5.) Import character into Unreal Engine in T Pose without animations 6.) Import character animation into Unreal Engine, using the original character as skeletal reference. Be sure to uncheck skeletal mesh, as you only want to import the individual animation. 7.) Repeat process detailed in 6 for each animation you intend to assign to said character
Now when you double click the character's skeletal mesh, in the "test animation" pull down menu, you should see all of the animations available that you have imported for the character.

Here you go. As Animagic mentions, you export from CC3 Pipeline. Pipeline in the name denotes export capability. https://manual.reallusion.com/Character_Creator_3/ENU/3/Content/Character_Creator_3/3/17_Export/Exporting_FBX_Characters_with_iMotion.htm?Highlight=export%20fbx
