Morning.

I've came in to a note saying that our installation (CT6) has a limit on the size of the file being rendered to 4mb.

I can't get the exact version right now as i'm not in that building, but is this a known issue at all and can it be fixed elsewhere?

Regards
Stu

No ideas at all???

I think that should be 4GB rather than 4MB. Unless you are outputting HD uncompressed that should be enough for most uses. Are you having problems with the limit?

I'm just going by what i've been told. I'm pretty sure the limit will only be 4MB as the users using it are just primary school students making short animations.

Could it be set anywhere or anywhere i could check it?

If we are talking about file size limitations of Crazytalk 6 then there aren't any software wise.

Any limitations will come from the file system and operating system of your computer. If you are using a computer with a FAT32 file system then the file size limit is 4GB. If you are using a computer with a NTFS file system (most likely) then there is no restictive limit. For example my last rendered file size from Crazytalk 6 was 15GB but this was 1080HD.

Who told you there was a file size limit of 4MB? A video file this small would have to be very low resolution and very short, probably under a minute in length.

"4MB" file size limits, or any limits in the megabyte range for that matter, are only common when uploading files to a server or sending/receiving email. Maybe it'd be worth to find out what the students are actually trying to do. It sounds like the students don't have a problem with CrazyTalk but rather with uploading the files.
