Hello all,was wondering if anyone has purchased the  Hivewire character packs and what they think-are they hi -res textures?I am considering a purchase, they look pretty cool-Thanks

I purchased the Dusk and the Gorilla pack because I needed a male and a gorilla (I didn't need the baby or the woman, plus they were more expensive to buy the whole pack).

I think it looks pretty good in Character Creator. I haven't had time to animate him yet, but here is what he looks like in IClone.

When I export to IClone, I am seeing some yellow reflections I really don't want. Probably due to the lighting in my scene and / or the lack of IRay in IClone.

I didn't render this image in IRay, although I have IRay installed with CC 3. I don't know if that changes normal rendering or not.

* Note: This is my hair and shirt, not Dusks. I looked at the hair that came with Dusk, and I wasn't too impressed, but I don't know how to Morph it like they show.

This is in IClone without tinkering with lighting since I am at my day job (so I can afford my animation hobby). There is too much glare, but the lighting is more likely the culprit than the character.

I guess because it is a Morphed character, I can't activate the Appearance Editor with the character like I want. For some reason, most male characters seem like they have bigger chest / boobs than a guy should.

I like the face look so far. The product preview showed all these different looks, but I haven't had much time to play with it yet.

Was curious about that as well, are there any advantages to using these characters rather than importing them from Daz?

I have never used or touched DAZ, so I can't answer that.

Something about DAZ turned me off when I looked at it.
