Hi !
I'm already using Faceware but not 100% convinced by the results I get. Is Live Face with iPhone X really much better ? As I would have to invest in an iPhone X and the plug-in, it would need to be really a much better combination for me to decide to spend that much...

MUCH better? I think it's better, and I certainly don't use Faceware anymore now that I have Faceshift, but if I hadn't already had an iPhone X? I doubt whether I would have spent the money.
I think the bigger difference is with the new CC3 avatars -- they definitely have better muscle movement than CC1. If I were on the fence, though, and I didn't need another phone, I'd at least wait until the new iPad announcements come out (hopefully soon -- before the end of October?) If they do have the 3D camera they are rumored to have, it would be a cheaper way to go (maybe even half as expensive).

Yeah, I need to update my iPad as well, so I am watching this carefully (if it has the 3D camera that will give me two sources to capture two people at the same time).
The most current rumor is the iPad Pro is the one to be updated with both the 3D camera and a pencil like device, and it will take place October 30th.

However, even if that's true, it may also be true that the lower end iPads will also get a makeover, just in case the Pro turns out not to be your cup of tea. In any case, we ought to know in a few weeks something (even if it's that there IS no new iPad announced :> .

I have a question about latenz , which connection is the better one ? WLan or USB ?
Or is there any trick to get a better latenz over Wlan ?

I'm not sure you can use WLan, but wi-fi is fine and I no longer use USB (supposedly USB is better but I've never seen this and all the RL demo videos are done using Wi-fi).

Hmm , if you take a closer look to the tutorial videos of Live Face with IPhone , you can always see a little latenz , the same I do have.
Watch this Live Video of Cory's brilliant presentation at Siggraph with the IPhone x , you nearly see no Latenz.

I don't see any difference between USB and wi-fi in my setup, but I'm sitting right on top of my router, almost literally (well, two feet away). But use USB if you want -- no one is stopping you.

Yeah I will test it out !
But anyways , the Live Face with IPhone x is working really good , and I had worked with Faceshift before Apple bought it.
P.s. ...and thank you for your mega Python Script for Blender its a fantastic timesaver...love it :-)
