Hey there, I cant seem to find an easy way to remove materials in CC. I would like to have the simplest shader applied with no textures. Best would be to apply one material to all objects in the scene but the whole "material section" seems weird to me. Thanks for any help

If you want to remove all the materials applied then in the Modify Panel select the Materials Tab and then delete everything that you don't wish to have by selecting each item in the list.

Another option is to select every material at once and reduce the strength of the Base Color to 0(Zero) - Select the first item in the list, hold the Shift Kae and then click on the last item.

Doing this will keep the Bump and other channels while removing the material colour. If you wish you can also select each channel and reduce the strength to zero.

If you have the Iray plugin for CC3 you can also turn your character in to a Brass statue by selecting all the Materials and adding a Brass one:

Hey, thanks for your help! But its not possible to apply one material to all meshes and keep it like that during export, right? A tipical material editor works this way. You just select a couple of objects and then apply a material.

If you replace all of the materials with one of your choice and save the character then these will be included when you export the character.

Of course. My mistake... I didnt check all the smaller buttons and tools in detail. I guess I am just used to a more handy material editor from other software. Where you have a shader preview on a sphere and just drag it on to your mesh. Do you know if its possible to rename materials? I cant seem to rename them...
