I have only one little question:
When I ordered CC 3 pipeline with the pre-order,
I've got a serial number from RL for that.
I have just installed the HUB CC 3 and dpe CC 3 pipeline extension.
However, I did not have to specify the serial number during the installation
There is also no note obe I have now only a trial version
In my user account is a different number than the notes I received when buying. Under the CC 3 is displayed with "Activated Number" with "0"

Also in the hub only CC 3 pipeline extension is displayed as a program (not the CC 3)

Somehow strange.

One more question:
Do I have to copy my custom content myself into the custom folder of CC 3.
When changing from CC 1.5 to CC2, there was a function for it

Hi Postfrosch

Character Creator 3 doesn't request a serial number but you should have needed to enter one for the Pipeline extension.

When you install Character Creator 3 it should have prompted you to copy over your content from Character Creator 2. Did it not do that for you?

For the issues with the Reallusion Hub we will check this out and try and get things resolved as soon as possible.

Based on the conversation it sounds like CC3 is available for download. Is that correct?

Not only Character Creator, but iClone also no need input serial number anymore, and the install process became easy if you reinstall it from Hub.
* Need to make sure that you login your member account in Hub.

Davev and others experiencing the "SN error" problem when starting CC3:  I had the same problem and just experienced again after re-booting and re-starting.  Then I un-installed iRay and tried CC3 and it worked!  The strange thing is it assigned a new SN (not the one that RL gave me during pre-order), but at least I can used the program now.  I also re-installed iRay (after completing start-up successfully in CC3) and everything seems to be working OK.  Give it a try!

@gordryd: Thanks for the post. I have also fixed my install problem as well ( without any useful support from RL, but that is another issue ) but I took a different approach than you: 
I could install CC3 ok, ( thru the "HUB " ) but when i installed the Pipeline ext the " HUB" would continually tell me i was not connected to the internet ( A problem a number of others have experienced as well ) so i tried without the hub and would always get the serial number error code as if it could not/would not verify the serial number. 
Finally I used Revo Pro Un-installer and  completely un-installed the hub and all associated registry entries , download a fresh copy of the hub and in the meantime i had installed a trail version of the Pipeline Ext to be able to check it out....so after a fresh install of the Hub, it recognized my trail version and asked if I wanted to upgrade, well, knowing i have a purchased copy in my order and product registration I gave it a try, lo and behold it downloaded and installed the Pipeline edition and Yes, it actually works, BUT, the serial number it has assigned is NOT the same as what was issued to me originally by RL. But frankly I do not FCare. I am just glad that after a 30 hour experiment the Dam thing works, my IRay plugin works, all the content upgrades ( The CC Essentials PKG ) down loaded and updated thru the HUB , and 3DExch and IClone 7 are updated. I have not played with it much yet, ( CC3 ) But my first impressions of the IRay plugin are Good, although it seems a bit slow compared to say a typical IRay render in Daz3D. No time for further exploration - I am knee deep in paying Shadow of the TombRaider - What an excellent game 100% happy with that. :):) Good luck to you and thanks again for the update, all these will hopefully help others  that are having the same issues.;)

I got this error

. I was able to install CC 3, the resource package and CC 3 pipeline Extension. CC 3 runs perfectly and is also executed as a pipeline version (LOD etc). Only a serial number was never requested by me.
The SN which is displayed in the start screen of the CC is that of CC 3 (my user account)
Under CC 3 Pipeline the SN is displayed which was sent to me by RL upon purchase (and which I never entered hbzw it was never required)

Is everything somehow strange. I am still waiting for an answer to this strange behavior during the installation.
Since the CC yes work I do not want to uninstall and thus complain the error code.

To make it clear again:

With me runs CC3 pipeline (apparently) without problems
I have NOT received the error code 6
I did not enter a serial number when installing "CC 3 pipeline extension" noich was requested one.
The entry of a serial number was and is not requested at the start of CC 3 even now

My HUB statement also looks like this:

My problem is that I do not know if CC 3 pipeline extensionse is now registered with RL,
or if I want to uninstall CC3 incl ResourcePack and CC 3 pipeline extension and then reinstall it.

In my HUB, it is displayed
CC 3 3 pipeline is greyed out "open"

But when I open the CC 3 all parts of CC 3 pipeline are included and working (creating LOD etc)


Maybe someone has tried this:
Uninstall CC 3 pipeline extension
Download and reinstall CC 3 pipeline extension
Maybe then you can enter the serial number


So I'm already working with IClone and have downloaded and installed many versions. It was always straightforward and without major mistakes. But this time, RL has outdone itself in terms of mistakes :sick::blush::crazy::sick:

I am also experiencing the "SN error code 6" when trying to open CC3 Pipeline (and I entered the SN during installation).  I submitted a ticket and they just told me the 'correct' order in which to install:  CC3, Pipeline Ext, Resource Pack.  This is exactly what I did the first time.  So I un-installed everything and re-installed.  Same issue.  The Reallusion online registration page says my copy of CC3 is "Activated" but I cannot use it as the program closes as soon as I acknowledge the SN error.  Since multiple users are reporting this error, hopefully RL will take a closer look (although I realize they have more than a few issues at the moment...)

Although it doesn't make sense, what I do is also register at my member page (Register Product). That seems to take care of a number of issues (or used too).

I just wanted to add that if any of the other people that experienced this same "Serial number code 8" problem have figured out a work around or learned from RL support how to resolve this please let me know. I have a support ticket open as well but RL has been unable to provide me with a solution. I have spent 20 hrs trying to install a simple 3d program with a serial provided.

great now the 3 day wait to hear from support since you cannot simply CALL a support person and get it fixed in a 1/2 hour, instead a 3 day process and that assumes it even gets done in the first communication. I have done this before and it was a week long process.

Yea, I submitted a support ticket so maybe within another 3-4 days I'll actually be able to use CC3!
I am in no way fond of their support system..

but I did not enter any - I did not get a request
But it is not the serial number I got notified when buying

The only serial number I was requested to provide was for iRay....
No serials were requested for either CC3 or the Pipeline Extension thus far - and the programs appear to be 'installed'.
And yes, I was prompted with a two question dialogue (one had something to do with transferring CC2 sliders over to CC3).
But, (and I don't remember now), I just ticked one of those boxes (based on me not having done any CC2 creation anyway).
If I saw the dialogue again, I'd probably remember which ....

Mine installed without prompting for a serial (from the hub).  When I ran it, it crashed saying I needed  a serial.
I then installed the pipeline extension, which did ask me for my serial.
CC3 then loaded up, but given it had gone midnight by that time, I didn't get to use it.

I did not see a prompt to copy anything over.   All I got, was when it installed, it said I had updates.  I went to the update tab and it had two resource files, the corrupt 1.5GB one and the correctly working 2,2GB one.
