Hello!
Can anyone provide any guidance on how to create a character wearing a skirt in Illustrator. I can’tseem to figure out which body part the skirt should be created on so that thecharacter moves with the skirt.

When my character starts moving, her legs come out of fromthe side of the skirt (see example on the left of image attached). I triedmoving the skirt to the leg layer with half the skirt on the L thigh and theother half on the R side, but the skirt just splits in half (see example on theright of image attached). How should I create the layers so that she doesn’tlook so weird?!

Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!https://forum.reallusion.com/uploads/images/bed07ee0-3435-4257-b4ff-48fa.jpg

I guess CTA3 works well only with characters wearing pants.
For characters wearing a skirt, you get that kind of result.
Perhaps, someone might have a solution.  I 'm keen to know too.
Thanks.

This is my suggestion,
You can use the accessory to workaround you need.
1. You need to separate the skirt as a prop.
2. In the character Composer to attach the skirt to the hip.
3. Back to Stage, editing the character motion, and deform the prop, if the prop does not smooth, you could use the Smooth Deformed Object (Top menu/Edit)

This is my testing result.

Hi Kylelee,
The solution is to create a sprite that blends into the skirt. An example can be found in the original characters found in the software.  Examine the leg sprite of the woman G3 characters to get an idea of how to do it.
