Why is motion live iphone so slow?

Hi,
Just got the iphone x plug-in, and it just seems to be unusable.
I created a short animation and it just seemed to be completely late and time inproportionate, like it was very laggy.
Is it my computer? I have a GTX 1060, and even when I rendered it, it looked terrible.
Will it be better on CC3? On my phone the status bars seem to be fine but still it has trouble on iclone.
Do I need to process it or something like that?
My rendered version, which is not fluid at all, just stopped and started and was exrtremely laggy as I said before.
How can I fix this?

Hmmm, that's very odd.  I have no problems and none of the folks who have used it before seem to either.

It's hard to say what the difficulty might be.  You ARE connecting via USB, right?

If you connect by USB, make sure to disable WIFI.

If you installed with iClone running, then you should quit iClone and reinstall the profile.

Oh god... I meant to ask if you did - I was thinking it’s a bit stupid to use WiFi as it’s so slow. They don’t say that in the tutorials. How do you connect using USB right? How important is it to?

To connect USB follow this.
The mistake I made at the end was not disabling WiFi on the iPhone. Once you do then you will get a local IP.

I actually DO connect using Wi-fi, but not everyone's wi-fi will be good enough (I'm practically sitting on top of my router here).

But definitely try USB first.  That should solve your problems. (I didn't see any difference using it that way but I didn't have problems with it the other way either).

So all you need to do is use the personal hotspot with a usb so your using the PH to connect but it's a lot faster because it's actually a wired connection - make sure its wired otherwise it will still be rusty. You may need to download itunes for a wired hotspot connection

Actually, you don't need a PH at all with either wi-fi or USB -- those instructions are *very* misleading.

Just follow them but leave out that part and it will work fine (with good wi-fi it doesn't need the USB connection but not everyone is sitting right on top of their router as I am here).

So the USB option also uses a personal hotspot? How come?
By Dan Miller - 7 Years Ago
You could choose any of the following methods: shared Wi-Fi, Hotspot, or USB cable.

No, it does not.  The instructions on how to use USB are extremely misleading.

I can walk you through if you have any problems, but just ignore the whole hotspot thing.  You do not need to use it either with USB or Wi-fi.

So, I plugged in the USB, I can't really derive anything from the manual, so what do I do?
Thanks for all the help by the way!

Have you watched this video? The only difference is since you are connecting USB, you will need to turn the phone's WiFi off to get a local IP. Then use that IP in the same way as shown in the video and it should connect.

Ok got it, thanks, yes I have watched the video.
I did plug in the phone, I did forgot to reinstall the profile as I had iClone running
