Hello, please excuse me if I don't know all the correct terminology yet. I've downloaded trial versions of iclone7 and character creator, then set up a figure and exported her to Iclone, then set up props and sky, and I can see from the panel in the attached screen shot that there are tools for animating her voice via viscme files (which I am familiar with from using Poser 7,) but I cannot figure out how you're actually supposed to manipulate her arms and legs. All the tutorials I've watched thus far seem to assume that you already know how. Could somebody please point me the part of the screen where those tools are located? If I can figure that out, I can learn the rest of this.

Hi John ....
Not sure whether you've viewed this video:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NAFrMYqLpx4
It deals with:
● Persona Perform
● Motion Puppet
● Motion Library
● Direct Puppet
It also shows how to 'break' and 'merge' motion clips on the timeline.
It's for iClone 6, but is still relevant for iClone 7
These are some of the 'quick' methods for animating.
Also, this one:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FiLWhqOfzUs&index=47&t=0s&list=PLZY2Gwtu8Jwk8VYIbeQyXvGvq2mqEcoF9
which touches on 'manual tweaking' of body limbs.
Here's an amazingly fast "on the fly" approach demonstrated by a seasoned iClone professional:

If you want to do 'traditional' (ie: key-frame animation):

This one's well worth watching as it shows the "heirarchy" that applies to different animation 'types'
