Dear Reallusion Developers,
We are excited to introduce to you the brand new, redesigned Marketplace! Throughout the previous year, the Reallusion team has surveyed, planned, and implemented tons of new features to unify enhanced visuals with a much-improved user experience in both the Marketplace and Content Store, while simultaneously fine tuning the shopping experience. We truly hope that this new design will be helpful in better displaying and selling your assets, as well as resolving common issues encountered by customers. We understand there is always more room for improvement, so please be assured that your continued feedback is important to us.
The main changes to the Marketplace are provided below. If you have further questions or recommendations, please feel free to leave a comment below, or contact us at developer@reallusion.com. Quality Display & Upgraded Functionality Search Easier to find specific assets via category browsing and keyword searching.  Index Utilizing “Filters” to further specify desired results and optimize search quality (sub-category, top authors, free, trial, pack or item, etc). Product Page Intuitive desired features such as Add to Wish List, Trial Download, Buy. Category Re-organization & Browsing Mechanism Enhancement- New entry for Character Creator to fulfill the needs of growing a market.

- CC Character is now the standard character base for iClone users. To help existing users and new users to easily find compatible character assets, iClone G1,2,3,5,6-related assets are gathered into a Legacy Actor category.

- Several categories are re-organized to enhance efficiency for browsing and searching. For example,
- “iClone > Character > Standard Human > CC Character” is changed to “iClone > Actor > Character > Male, Female, Fantasy, …” for deep down searching.
- “Character Creator > Character > Cloth > Underwear, Skirts, …” is changed to “Character Creator > Cloth > Underwear, Skirts, … > Fantasy, Historical, Medieval, ...” for deep down searching.
- New category for CTA Non-Human Actorand Motion.

- Since some CC content assets such as Cloth, Shoes, Gloves, Accessory, and Hair can be applied to iClone, the system will automatically display compatible items from the following CC categories in corresponding iClone categories.

 - The assets of “Character Creator > Outfit” are also displayed in “iClone > Outfit”
- The assets of “Character Creator > Accessory” are also displayed in “iClone > Accessory”
- The assets of “Character Creator > Hair” are also displayed in “iClone > Hair”
Trial Download for Packs Enabled In the new Marketplace design, developers can enable up to 10 items per pack for trial download, and users are allowed to download 10 items and 3 packs per day.

Content Uploading & Commercialization- From Uploader v1.55, commercialization materials are no longer required when uploading content, Developers can do further editing in the Management Backend of the Marketplace.
- To satisfy different needs, the image size of Preview Images is not fixed to 1920x1080 anymore. Any image with its width less than 1920 px, and length less than 1080px is acceptable.
- Since there will be some overlay on the Thumbnail, please don’t not put any words on the image. In addition, the GIF file format is no longer supported for thumbnails in order to provide a more consistent display. Please use preview images or videos to showcase your product.

- The current AP is unable to generate 512*650 sized Thumbnails. Here are some tips to make thumbnail creation easier:
- The content generated from iClone 7.2, CC 2.3, CTA 3.2 will have 512*512 build-in thumbnail.
- When uploading content to Marketplace via Uploader, the Uploader will automatically convert the 512*512 thumbnail to be 512*650 with transparent border on top and bottom.
- The default background of Marketplace of iClone & CC is gray (#333333), and the background of CTA is white (#ffffff).
- If the thumbnail meets the default background color of Marketplace, the display will look good.
NotificationIn the past, when a new message of Product Q&A, Message Board and Private Message arrived, system notifications would be sent via Email. The new Marketplace implements a Notification mechanism to let Developers and Users check messages directly in the Marketplace, which further enhances communication quality.  Download Your Uploaded ProductsThe function of downloading uploaded products is moved from Inventory List to Management Backend. - Go to Content Editing > Edit Item / Edit Pack
- Tick the checkbox in front of the thumbnails of products you want to download
- Press the "Download Selected" button

Still can't seem to see a filter to remove items I have already bought. Which is disappointing, for such an easy win.

Thanks for the update. At least it is being evaluated.
Aside, what is the procedure for getting items in the marketplace added to the content store. Some of big boss' items haven't made it into the content store after many months of being in the marketplace.

I am trying download my own content. My Inventory List is showing blank. But if I add my own content to the cart, it says I already have this in my Inventory List. Please help, a customer is having issues with one of my items and I can't help them because I can't download my own content.

I just updated the main post of this thread yesterday: The function of downloading uploaded products is moved from Inventory List to Management Backend. - Go to Content Editing > Edit Item / Edit Pack
- Tick the checkbox in front of the thumbnails of products you want to download
- Press the "Download Selected" button

Thanks for the update. At least it is being evaluated. Aside, what is the procedure for getting items in the marketplace added to the content store. Some of big boss' items haven't made it into the content store after many months of being in the marketplace.
When a certain theme promotion is planned in Content Store, we will select some related content assets there. Most item-based products stay in Marketplace.

Market place is a improvement but RL need to work on the main webpages for the store. Numerous products you click on and they dont take you to the product but instead another page. The whole shopping experience is frustrating and leads me to spend my money else where. Who ever you paid to design and implement the shopping experience has done a bad job its a frustrating mess often very slow as well . Also quality control is still bad way to many outdated items for sale.Take a look at unreal market place for a straight forward customer focused shopping experience.

Hi, Thanks for sharing your experience with us! The URL direction was not set up correctly until yesterday, was it the reason you pointed out the problem in main webpages? Can you help to double check it again?
I do understand that there is always room for improvement, but I would like to take this chance to introduce the position & spirit of Marketplace. Marketplace is a C2C platform, developers are free to upload their products without the need to wait for approvals from Reallusion. Unreal, Unity, Daz and other assets stores are not the case. Marketplace offers every content developers fair chance to sell their products with least control by us. All we do is selecting some outstanding products as Reallusion Certified, and users can use serveral filters to narrow down a selection.

Based on your experience in Unreal, I believe that Content Store can satisfy your needs. :)

Why transaction details does not show who made an item purchase? You got to go through number of steps on backend, wait until that annoying popup loads (which takes forever) to find out who's got it and open communication if necessary. It should be right there on a transaction page.

On your main content store there are still a number of products i click on and it does not take me to the product it just takes me back to the main content store webpage, this has been a problem for over a year on the website. The content store has some bugs in it.
We will use another 1 month to update Marketplace to enhance its usability, and shall start to review the Content Store after that. We appreciate if you can let us know the detailed steps clearly when you encountered this bug next time. :)

Indeed! We didn't do many spec changes on the Management Backend this time, but there do have a lot of things to be improved. The performance of Management Backend is kind of terrible. Although I can't promise you when the backend will be updated at the moment, any feedback and suggestions are welcome!

When a certain theme promotion is planned in Content Store, we will select some related content assets there. Most item-based products stay in Marketplace.
The problem, I have is, some horror props have made it in. (Horror props, butcher, mechanic, crazy etc), but the horror skins (https://marketplace.reallusion.com/pbr-ez-substances-cc-skins-flesh) haven't.
If I follow a developer, I want to look for them in the content store, not have to go to two stores. Having two stores is wasting people's time and is mildly frustrating. Having DA points, so I ahve to buy points and then spend them is also wasting my time. It is a two step process. Which is one step too many.

This has been a problem for almost a year. On your content store No third party products you click on load , every time it takes you back to the content store home page. The only products that loads are RL products. I have added a video to demonstrate , first 3 products i click on dont load all third part devs , next two i click on load and they are both RL products.
I cant understand how this has not been picked up on ? its not like its a little bug . Same problem in explorer and firefox

Hi Reallusion, I also have the problem with the linking to the Product Page. When I click on the Thumbnail of a product (I have only one freebie in at the time, but there will be many more in a few days) in my store (https://marketplace.reallusion.com/store/maxmagicmedia) it takes me to the Marketplace Homepage (https://marketplace.reallusion.com) and NOT to the Product Page. I hope this Problem with the linking could be fixed in the near future.

We've checked it with the Support Team. This issue has been addressed recently, and will be fixed soon. We would suggest you to use Chrome or Safari to avoid this issue at the moment.

That "outstanding" comment is certainly NOT valid as the selection criteria are quite skewed and a lot of absolute garbage is in the "Certified" section. I would recommend that customers stick with the developers who have provided them previously with quality content - regardless of the faulty & often misleading review system plus RL's skewed favoritism in their "certified" selection criteria.

I don't agree with you about the certified principles, but I do agree that users can always try to find good stuff from specific developers who have provided them good quality content.
Here is a tip for new comer to follow their favorite developers: 1. Go to Developer's personal store page by clicking on the name.

2. Click the "Subscribe" button to get the notification when there is a new upload.

3. You will get noticed from the Marketplace when browsing content, and daily update report via Email.
