Paragon assets
I can FBX export the rigged mesh and retarget it in 3Dxchange  but cannot export the textures
they seem to be locked into the Unreal editor
which is a pain if I want to use GIMP etc to edit as well as not being able to use them outside Unreal Engine 4
I won't post anything as unsure if even rendering allowed outside of Unreal engine 4 under their terms of use for the assets but I was mostly retargeting with the intention  to get animations back into Unreal anyway along with Pipeline exports of other stuff from Reallusion I have export licenses for.
Not making a game just trying to get somewhere with Matinee and that sequencer which never renders the damn camera I animate to make movies and generally banging my head on my keyboard.

Your going to half to go to the matte file and find the texture within UE4. From there you want to right click and go to asset action, and export it. IF you'd like I can make Youtube video for you tonight.

thanks, yeah since saw a few work arounds on their forum baking or creating new materials and asked yes we can render them as 2D art in any app just not reuse in Unity etc only UE4 which is understandable

The "right click/asset action/export" doesn't work with the paragon textures.

The only way I found is to create a new material with the textures then I used the "merge actor" feature wich generate a copy of the texture that can be exported.

That is one workaround but be careful. These assets have been licenced to be used with just UE4. I don't know if it still cool to bring it to a separate animator and then bring it back in but you might get in trouble taking and using the contents in just iClone.
