Hey guys, so I have this fence inside a project:

Now, every piece of vertical wood on this fence is a mesh in itself, as you can see on the right. I would like to make the whole fence wooden. So far, the only way I know of doing this, is to manually add substances or textures into the diffuse panel of every single vertical piece of wood. I'm sure there is an easier way though, a way where I can select all the meshes and choose a texture for all of them. Isn't there?
Thanks!

I know there are some things that work with "multi-select" of meshes. Select one, then Shift-click and/or Ctrl-click... For example, you can select a whole bunch, and turn "Reflection" on/off for all of them with one click.
Have you tried selecting multiple ones, and then using drag-and-drop to add a texture from a Windows Explorer window onto the texture slot?
The bigger problem is... this is a very inefficient way to model something like that. You are going to have many copies of your textures, and for no good reason. All those posts really should be merged into a "single mesh" so you can have one texture set for them.

Yipes -- I would for sure combine those into one mesh (export them all by attaching and then editing in XChange and export as obj and then reimport ought to do it).
If you do that you can bring the OBJ into Blender and easily consolidate all the items into one material. Export one more time and you're set.

Select one mesh object and apply a Material/Substance to it. Next open the Materials tab in the Modify panel and select the "Eye Dropper" icon at the top. With this tool click on the selected material. Once the Material is selected go back to the Modify Panel and select the "Paint Bucket" icon, move the Paint Bucket over any other mesh and click to add the Material. With this you can now Paint the rest of the meshes without having to do any more jumping around.
Make sure that the first textured mesh is always selected when painting the others.
