Iclone 7 has allowed a great fusion of different compositing elements within the software. The quality of the video is amazing. I have been working on a little Scifi Movie that is a combination of Western, Scifi and Fantasy sort of El Zorro, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Here is a mini trailer showing some of the progress on IC7. I have spent some time trying to decide the look and atmosphere of the movie. I feel pretty happy with the results. If someone out there wants something that you see in the movie and it is not privately owned let me know. Also, if anyone out there likes doing voice overs and would like to collaborate also let me know. This hobby is more fun when collaborating with others.. This is a continuation of a little movie I did in Moviestorm called Gordon Blake. Gordon Blake Pilot
Enjoy

I liked your camera angles and sets, and your characters interaction with props (moving throttles) was very well executed. :) One suggestion for future trailers: more dialogue from characters & more action (perhaps a fight scene or space battle).

Enjoyed the trailer. I will go back and watch the moviestorm video (given I also use moviestorm a bit).
I do have an issue, in general, with immortal characters. They seem to never be in deadly danger, being immortal, so I don't really connect with them. I'm tempted to write a story now about an immortal (called Bob), where he / she gets captured and loses all their limbs, then gets thrown into the sea. So they spend eternity bobbing around the ocean.

I guess my inspiration for this character is William Munny from Unforgiven but in a Scifi setting. Immortal refers more to the legend of an "old man" who has been a bounty hunter for a good portion of his life but has managed to stay alive. Thank you for watching it. Im sure you know how long this takes to create...

Hey Thorsten,
Read your comment about Serenity and I googled it. lol Nice compliment. No, not at all. Best description is a Western, with the Tatooine deserts from Star Wars , the cities of Blade Runner and mountains and dungeons from Lord of the Rings. Despite everything, Im trying to create a regular Westerns with Spaceships instead of wagons, brothels, bounty hunters, bandits, etc...

I really liked the space shots. Generally, they leave me flat. I think it's because there has to be a lot of perspective to help show distance (no landmarks in space) and speed (no close landmarks to give you a reference) In both cases I think you have done very well. I did 3 naval videos and working in an ocean setting was similar to working in a space setting. No landmarks to let you know speed and distance. Perspective came to my salvation. Your use of perspective in these shots was both intelligent and insightful. Looking forward to seeing more. Now the trick is to make character development and interaction keep the flow of the action moving along.
I hate doing character conversations :pinch:, but as they are obviously necessary I try and take an upbeat approach to them. Great Job.

Thank you. As much as I like obsessing about space shots, you are right. I give anything to have my characters talk like they are in a Quentin Tarentino movie. That is all that matters. That is the most difficult part. The spaceshots and props are labersome but not hard. Character development and interaction is the hardest. But, I'll keep working on it until I like it. lol

rollasoc (1/16/2018) I do have an issue, in general, with immortal characters. They seem to never be in deadly danger, being immortal, so I don't really connect with them.
Being immortal does not mean you cannot die, it simply means you cannot die of old age or natural causes. Take Highlander for example, if you've seen the movies... Highlanders are immortal beings, they can live for hundreds or thousands of years, but if you cut their head off.. they are dead. Same goes with a lot of mythical beings, elves are another example. Most elves are immortal, living forever. But death comes to all living things.
Just thought that needed a correction.
Keep up the good work pedrosura. It looks pretty good.

@Slayerazazel Yeah, like an old Seal Team Six member.. or an old "Billy the Kid". That was the idea. Thank you for the kind words.

With this film I had to think of serenity. That was a cool science fiction movie 10 years ago. I think the idea is good, because at the moment too many similar films are being shown or copied on Iclone, as a film does it really well. I'm looking forward to the finished film.
