It's illegal. According to the Content EULA (the one vidi posted)

5. Any and all default CONTENT in the Character Creator is the property of and proprietary to
REALLUSION, and cannot be published in any third-party marketplace. This includes original
REALLUSION default CONTENT, CONTENT sold in REALLUSION content packs, as well as all
derivative content created by Member(s) and Vendor(s). Any user-generated content derived
from original REALLUSION content can only be sold in the REALLUSION Content Store and
Marketplace.

We will report it to Turbosquid, thanks for letting us know.

Looks like that content has been removed now from Turbosqaud now, that was fairly prompt.

This has made me wonder about some iClone items I've seen on Renderosity's Freestuff pages seen [HERE] and in the Marketplace seen [HERE], most of the items have (for iClone) in the description and the "Freestuff" dates range from 2006 to 2014 but clearly have iClone avatars.

The Marketplace items don't appear to be from any Reallusion content that I can tell, and some of the auto's are also offered for Poser and DAZ platforms as well.

So my question is would these items also be a violation of the EULA?

I guess this is starting to become a thing.. and there's probably more around since sketchfab have started the ability to sell products now

https://sketchfab.com/mikva84/models

This guy has a lot of iClone characters for sale, thought I'd post it here since this was already a thread.  Maybe we can have a thread stickied somewhere so we can just post links whenever people see something suss and so on. Unless there Is already a section for this?

You are right! Thanks for letting us know.
Sketchfab helped us to disable to "Free Download" option if the model is directly uploaded from CC. This is the basic check we can do to prevent Free or Paid CC content from illegal distribution.

@Snarp Farkle, we will also take action about what you addressed, thank you!

Some developers develop for multiple platforms (so not exclusively for iClone), so you may see the same model in multiple places.

Just a note: While the EULA says "any third party marketplace" actually it is not allow even in RL Marketplace.
When CC originally came out, I exported some of the body morphs and re-imported them through iClone 6 (at the time) facial expressions (which was the only way to add morphs to iClone 6 at the time). The idea was that through these iC6 morphs you would be able to perform some of the CC morphs in directly in iClone in real time. I charged a meagre 200 DA points for my conversion time but I was soon asked by RL to remove the content. (Which I did immediately since my intention was not to infringe on any of the rules).
