Has Iclone 7 updated the Toon shader or the export to MP4 functions?

I'm thinking of upgrading 6.5 to 7.1 : the curves function and shadow catching look good, but what I really need is something more sophisticated in the Toon Shader, and a way to export MP4 at 24 fps (instead of the default 30 fps).

If some 7.0 users could fill me in on this I'd be very grateful.

TIA

Professional quality 24 fps can still be rendered out as an image sequence, PNG files giving the best results, or as uncompressed AVI. MP4 can only be rendered out at 30 fps, which is just about good enough for YouTube and co. I haven't tried the Toon Shader, but never saw any mention that it had been changed in any way - but as I don't use it I can't give a positive answer.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Unfortunately I need a 24 fps MP4 output for syncing sound with my 24 fps image sequence.  :-(

You can export the sound separately as an MP3 (sound doesn't have a frame rate, so you can sync it up in your editor just fine).

Or you can export as WAV, which is what I would do.

there is no new funciionality for toon shader, the only improvement it got is that when you render the toon shader doesn't "soften" anymore when using 3x3 supersampling (like DOF softens on Iclone 6 when using supersampling)
