Hi all
how can I replace a prop by keeping the animation, that has been applied to it?

You can save prop animation as elastic motion and re-apply to the new prop.
Another way is press down Alt+Drag to re-apply new prop.

Hi Kylele
thanks a lot for your hint. That might help me in a different case. For this one I finally found the runtime composer, which allowas to replace props and scale them in one step.
