Hello, I just got a proposal to do a short video. My excitement quickly died because majority of the characters in the script are animal characters will need to have facial animations. I have checked the iclone content store but could not find animals that have facial blends/bones. The Toon Animal characters in the content store cannot fill in the space because they are humanoid. Please is there any way out. I want a CAT, MOUSE, GIRAFFE, and VULTURE that have facial emotions. Any suggestion is very welcome as it is very urgent.

Hello there,
Have you looked at any of the "Toon Animal" packs for iclone. The animals have all the configurations for lip-synching and motions. I hope this will help you out!
Good Luck on your project!

He doesn't want "humanoid" animals (by which I assume he means he needs them to be four-legged, not standing up in biped positions). Nothing in the marketplace would work.

If you have 3dXchange you could send out the base character in obj format and take it into any 3d modelling software where you could create your morph targets for it. Here is a very short clip I did using Mudbox to create the morphs. Hope this might give you some idea of what you could try. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DFtUWHXcbA

"Simply use humanoid motions that mimick animal and fowl behavior." Doesn't the marketplace have these motions? I do.

To give humanoid skeletons.... animal or fowl behavior.. Re-Target the animation from animal to human. Blender is free.

The Toon Animal Characters are good but they have human bones structure. I want animals that walk on four legs (CAT, GIRAFFE, etc) and can talk. Something similar to the characters in Jungle Book . Thank you for wishing me well.

Thank you. Do you have a tutorial on that?

Can you link me up to a tutorial on that? My blender skill is above average

But I have not seen such a motion in the iclone world

I have never used Mudbox, but just got the trial version and learning some quick tutorials and the learning curve is not as fast as I would have love it to me. ICLONE has made me to be very lazy. I want something very quick, like a slider Your suggestion is so far one of the best so I am going with it until a better alternative comes up. Thanks

Can you link me up to a tutorial on that? My blender skill is above average Sir, I'm a 3ds Max user. I refer you to Blender because it has the tools and most importantly, it's free.
Now, if you had 3ds Max (even a trial or student version)... I'd walk you through it. Step-by-Step.
Note: There is no such thing as "Human Bones." The difference between humanoid skeletons and animal, or fowl skeletons: Animals: ~ Have and extra bone in the (Ankle) ~ Tail and ear bones added. ~ More Neck and Spine bones added... "Giraffe"
Fowls: Simply have bones extending from the "Humanoid ARM' = Wings _________________________________________________________ You have mad Blender Skills.... do this:
Use a simple humanoid skeleton. ~ Add the necessary bones for each type. ~ Skin it. Tis what I do. Poof! _________________________________________________
Animation: I use MotionBuilder and Max. to Re-target animation from (UNLIKE) skeletons. Sorry.... these step are far different (and much faster) than Blender.

I think Sculptris might be a nice option. It's pretty straight-forward, and can easily create the morphs you need. And it's free!
EDIT: Just saw you're a Blender user. Sculpt mode should work fine! Just don't add or remove any verts. Also make sure the vert order is the same when you export.

"With Xtra Bones Added."
You can do it..... you simply skin a few more bones. POOF!
