Do I have to have CTA2 to make a character using the flash template? If not, how do I do so in CTA3. I can't find the flash import option... seems to be gone.

In CTA3, if you drag the G2 Dummy Character onto the stage, then edit that character in the Character Composer, you'll see the SWF button in its usual place to import your flash template character.
