Hello, I'm one of the contestant for ARA 2017. I got my cc2 and when i'm using it the app lag so much. With fps dropping to 1 - 5. I literally can't do any editing. My specs should be way above the recommended specs.

Where and how are you getting that yellow number to show up?

CC shouldn't have a "frame rate" - it's not an animated program.  It just operates in still mode and while you can pan around and move in the viewport that shouldn't have anything to do with "frame rate".

I use fraps to show the number because it lags so much i want to see whats up. That is how i know my fps drops so low. Before this, using cc 1, my fps always at 60. Never drops.

Try reinstalling CC2 and dont update it to 2.01. I think its the newest patch that makes it lag. I have the same problem.

Hi...

I have tested on a similar spec computer with CC 2.11 and don't have any lag at all. Please can you check the following to see if it helps.

1. Make sure nothing else is running at the same time so you get fair performance test.
2. Ensure you have latest graphics drivers. https://www.geforce.com/drivers
3. If you have switchable graphics (both Intel and Nvidia), make sure you are using the Nvidia graphics card for Character Creator.
4. Open Preferences and ensure you have "Maximise Video memory Usage" checked. If you do and it's still the same, try disabling it and see if there is a difference.
5. Make sure that TAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing is not checked).

Hopefully one of the above will help resolve the problem.
