I have been using this Kinect for Mocap and it has been amazing, I recently installed all the software onto my new Alienware Laptop and now it just keeps turning off and on when I start up the mocap! Does anyone else have this problem? I need some help figuring this out asap!

I am having this problem recently as well now, I am wondering if it may be connected to latest Win 10 updates, or latest NVidia driver updates which also may play with the Device manager/resources in some way.
Connected-not connected-tell Win10 what to do with Kinect-not connected to PC.....very schizophrenic!
I don't think it is RL-specific, device manager is screwy with it suddenly.

I unplugged and changed the USB port it was connected to, and nothing.
It kept randomly connecting and disconnecting in the device manager.
But then suddenly I saw the lights go on on the Kinect, and it is working.
Definitely some USB -Kinect-Device Manager-Win10-updating-and-restarting thing.
Try disconnecting and plug into a new USB port, and see if it alll of the sudden later decides to turn on and work.
If it does, for god sakes DO NOT turn off your PC...LOL!!!
