Thanks for the reply.I use Pinnacle Studio for video editing and simple compositing. I also use Sony Acid Music to create sound tracks for videos. Acid allows me to open a video player right inside the app, so that I can sync to the sound visually. Nice feature.
But, since IClone lets one add a sound to an object, I was wondering about volume control, etc.. I haven't tried it yet, but the method you describe makes sense according to what I have already learned in IClone. I'll get around to testing it this afternoon.
The other thing I've wondered about, regarding sound in IClone, is what happens when sound is attached to a moving object. I.E., if one attaches a sound to a car, and the car starts out close to the camera, will the sound fade as the car moves away? Cinema4D can do that.
In C4D you can place microphones and speakers. Speakers can have sounds attached, and if the speaker is animated in the scene, then, when rendered, the rendered sound will react according to how close or how far the speaker is from the microphone. It would be cool if IClone could do that. Maybe in a future version.
Thanks for the reply.
