I am wishing for a way that Iclone would have a step function, or sine, cosine, ramp etc.... function that can be used to drive a value in a periodic fashion.
For example, I am simulating a red light that brightens and dims in a periodic way. Instead of having to go to the timeline and add all this points, it would be great to call up on a sinusoid function that has a 2 second period and an amplitude of "x" and have that drive the brightness value of a light from time T1 to Time T2. That would eliminate the need for having to do this all manually. If this is covered by the graph editor the disregard... Cheers

You can use the iC6 lights in iC7, they have that functionality.

Hey Rampa,
I know how to put a periodic dimming in the Timeline manually. The idea is to have an Iclone mathematical sine wave or cosine or step function that can be setup to drive any value you want to eliminate the need for doing this manually. For imagine a light that goes on and off every 3 seconds and you have a 2 min 30 sec scene. I am talking about a function that could be applied to any parameter and save you from doing this manually. Is there a way to do this??

Only those flickering controls for the light tool. There is no global function.

Yeah, so that is why I am suggesting it. It could work for everything, not just lights.
