Hi everyone. I'm trying to figure out how to make some nice textures for the clonecloth in Paint.net. I found a tutorial on getting nice cloths, but I can't quite figure out how to make rinkles or folds in something... I was thinking I take a semitransparent black line and then put a shadow under it or something but I can't seem to get it right because shadows don't seem towkr how I thought.
Does anyone have any ideas? thanks.

Do a search on Google or Bing and you should find many tutorials for adding wrinkles to clothing textures. They don't have to be specific to iClone. Tutorials for programs like Second Life will help you work with CloneCloth as the process is very similar. You will find there are many SL tutorials out there. :)

You can also experiment with a bump map as a way to get wrinkles on a smooth surface.

Hmm... *sigh* if only Paint.net had those. I found a way to make some pretty ok wrinkles in there though.
Hmm... I think gimp can use brushes so that may have some right?
Also it'd be cool if in future iClones you could do with everything else what you can do with the face. I mean like doing basic editing in the program so you can see the UV map and the 3D mess and it all updates in realtime. That would be a WONDERFUL feature for the next big version update of iClone. We can do it with the face, why nothing else?
