Hi all,

I've a 3D model of a dog which was done in 3DsMax. Is it possible to bring that dog model into iClone for rigging, posing and animation?
I'm not sure if iClone allows rigging of a quadruped character.

Thanks!

You would need to rig it in Max, or any other rigging software that will export FBX. You can then import it into 3DXchange and send it to iClone as either a skeletal prop, or a non-human avatar.

you can fbx export the iClone horse and use its skeleton as a basis in your rigging program of choice, then it can use the horse motions.

Hello,
How can you actually export fbx? I can't find this option, only for obj!

only in 3dxchange pipeline I am afraid
so in that case an FBX import is your only option

Thank you very much for your reply! :)

Unfortunately I don't have the pipeline. So i guess this answers my question that I posted a day ago, which was basically if there is a way to export one character's bones and apply it to another custom one and then import it in the iClone. Here is the topic:

Is there a community of iclone freelancers or someone who has the pipeline that can do it for me? I'd pay for that, as I have some models that need to be exported.

Thank you! :)
