The video below is a moving tableau of the famous photo of the Raising of the Flag on Iwo Jima on top of Mount Suribachi towards the end of the second world war. Audio is a reading of "In Flanders Field", a poem by Lieutenant Colonel John Alexander McCrae, a doctor and soldier in the first world war, with musical accompaniment by John Mcdermott form the album Remembrance. I made it as my little tribute to those past and present that defend freedom for everyone in the hopes that it helps people remember what is important to us all.

Nice tribute Wolf. If it wasn't for the sacrifice these guys and millions of others made, we probly would not be sitting here free to use our computers and have mostly freedom of speech on forums and the like.

Top marks and the first time Ive seen this recreation. iClone really comes into its own in this respect, taking 2d photographic power and masterpiece paintings and turning them into 3D again. Nice to see someone bother. :)

I think you made some excellent artistic choices with this piece - the simplicity of the image allowed the poignant words to be that much more pronounced, the blend of Canadian and American elements, and the waving flag accompanied by the moving sky. This is a short but powerful reminder.
