Are you saying you bought iC7 and then got an email for the beta for it, or are you saying you are applying for a beta from some other means?

I bought early (second day) but haven't gotten any email yet.

Yeah, I pre-ordered, just got the message Lady Pirate is ready for me, but when I go to the link provided to join the beta and download cc so I can install the pirate, it says I don't qualify. It is required to install the beta to use the pirate.

The emails are still being sent out to those who pre-ordered iClone 7 + Lady Pirate so if you have not received one yet it should arrive soon (check your spam folders just in case). In the email should be your CC 2.0 Beta serial and the download links.

i got the formal email - i click on the get serial number link, it takes me to a page that says I'm not qualified for the beta.
I downloaded the pirate link for the RL downloader - says it wont install because I don't have cc 2.0
Then I click download from the new link of the pre-purchase - and it downloads version 1.52 not cc 2.0

The problem is server side.

Thanks for updating. Yes it appears the sales team are using a redeem link rather than supplying a direct download link and serial number in the email. This unfortunately makes it difficult for me to help as you will need your serial number to be able to install even if I gave you a direct link to the download.

I will report this issue immediately and hopefully we can get this resolved soon. Certainly if you pre-ordered iClone 7 + Lady Pirate then you should have qualified to be able to download the Character Creator 2.0 Beta version.

Peter, I don't know what your ability to rebuke the sales team is, but is is bad for the business, bad for sales and therefore the salespeople, to do this to customers. They need to 'smoke test' this stuff before release, I'm disabled and I was literally in pain over this. That's my problem, but still. Please make sure they know they made a big boo boo.

No issue with the download but another roadblock is that since it is Beta it indicates a separate install leaving CC1.5 in place and won't override but wants it removed to do the install

That's not good. Seriously, I was a software QA manager and from my perspective this is a huge boo boo. Even the error that we all don't qualify is not the message you want to give to perhaps you 1000 most loyal customers.

Things happen EB that is why it is beta to iron out the bugs. I can't see how others will avoid the pop up asking you to remove the CC1.5 so the Sorry you do not qualify is a moot point currently LOL. I have always found RL quick to fix any issues like this so no big drama. I have the CC exe installer, Install content rid and the iClone Daz Genesis zip downloaded.

Yeah, but a quick 5 minute smoke test would have figured all this out quickly and quietly, and is how I would expect them to handle all releases, public and private. Just saying, they need to understand this is an issue that needs to be stomped out, QA is failing if a build gets out to the public like that.

Yeah, I'm not saying to twist yer knickers :) just this is very low hanging fruit, and sloppy. That needs to be said, saying 'shit happens' and letting it slide creates this exact situation. Sorry, but I was a pro, their process needs fixing, this is embarrassing. Resolving it will save them headaches and give them a better position. Anyhow, Peter is on it and the fire should be out soon, just the arsonist needs to be put away, so to speak.

My knickers are in a twist over something else and i dont think I could bunch them up more if I tried. I wonder if the original issue (Download link not working) was not caused by my issue (Download works but can't install without removing CC1.5) They become aware of it and blocked the download.

I just checked the link again and I now have access to the download and am installing it now, I created a folder on an external drive for testing. I had no issue starting the installer, and it seems to even let me use GI and PBR on my GTX 750. I think. I will make dinner and check on it later.

I'm really happy to report that my lowly gtx750 gets full graphical love from cc, I checked all the preferences and besides enabling more memory, I get it all. That answers one of my primary questions so I'm pleased. And there are two new pieces of cc cloth included. That's nice too.

I just want to say what a freaking joy it is to load up an HDR and see your character in the context you want to use it in. That is really great. I'm so glad we aren't limited to just a few chosen by RL.

I haven't received an email for CC 2 I ordered 12/7 and should have. Maybe Peter could help me out here. My order on 12/7 includes Lady Pirate and early access. I have link for Lady Pirate available in my order history but cc is only for 1.52. I checked spam folder nothing.

Tiny grrr.... you still are limited to only face selection in edit mesh mode. It does let you include a weight map and the lights and sky are editable in the scene manager. Again, huge help for getting a good look at your design. I would bounce back and forth between CC and iC6 and now that is resolved. Yay.

I received the early access message to get Lady Pirate and CC 2.0 beta, but when I go into Order History I can not find any link to download CC 2.0.

:) I have to say, I'm also very pleased that converting textures to PBR, at least on a basic level, is really easy. I'm sure there is lots to learn, but I was able to get cloth transferred with no problems.

It's probably obvious I'm a big Reallusion supporter, but I think we all agree this happens too often.
An occasional mistake is one thing, but "access" and "download" errors seem to be a common occurrence here.

It's time for some good "root cause" analysis. The internal processes needs to be reviewed, and corrective (preventative) actions taken.

I downloaded CC V2 Beta-1 just fine. My question is the Lady Pirate suppose to be an Avatar located in the template of Actor Projects or do you have to create her? I have clothing and accessories to create a Lady Pirate from one of the two female Avatars (1 Base, 1 Base (PBR)), which I did but she looks nothing like the Lady Pirate as advertised. Am I doing something wrong?

I think you are right that there is no project for the Lady Pirate, but it looks like you missed adding the character morph for one thing.

Looking forward to resolution though sounds like fun...Have had every version from all the way back to "It's Me" to current IClone 6 while I may not be big on posting my every thought I have been a big supporter of the software. ;)

Same got link ... said wasn't qualified. I made the required accumulative purchases between Dec 6-7 so should be good. My understanding from posts is there may be a data problem with the web site correctly identifying qualified users. Hoping same issue doesn't mess with my pipeline version of xchange 7 and Iclone 7 pro when it becomes available. Till then I can watch and try to glean information from the short CC 2.0 beta video released. Are the any other videos showing CC 2.0 features out there?

I have reported this issue so hopefully it can be fixed soon. It appears to be a database error where those who qualified for iClone 7 via content purchases have not been added to the eligible list which is why you didn't get the email. Those who pre-ordered should have all had an email by now.

As soon as I find out what's going on I will let you all know.

But I bought iClone 7 upgrade, NOT via content purchase. So I'm not sure that's the issue.

IOW, when that iClone 7 Early Access thingee came up, I went ahead and ordered it (cost around $200 to upgrade both iC7 and XChange).

UPDATE: After discussion I have found out that the emails for those who purchased content to get a free copy of iClone 7 will not be going out to January 3rd. This is because the system is setup differently for content purchase pre-orders and so your iClone 7 serial and CC 2,0 Beta serial will be sent out once the campaign finishes on the 2nd.
