I find the shoes & boots on the Essential Clothing pack add about another inch to the characters foot length!
Not great especially on a female character.
The 'flip flops' are a good fit, but not the boots.

Is there any method I can use to reduce the scale of the boots ?
I've tried using the conform function, but it doesn't really work

this is good

this is WRONG!!

I know what you mean about the "increased size look"  Darren.
I usually adjust the Avatars foot scale and Foot length morph sliders.
The footware then conforms down to the new size I`ve set.

thanks Galfridus

that's what I have been doing as a bandaid solution, but just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I could do without modifying the character.
Hopefully Realusion has a fix for this in the next update.

I might add this thread to the 'issues' thread, if I don't get a response from RL here

Adjusting feet size isn't really a bandaid solution as it is an effective way to make the shoes look smaller.

However another alternative is to open the "Conform" panel in CC with the shoes selected and adjust the "Close Fitting" setting. Doing this can make the shoes look tighter fitting as can be seen in shots below.

Peter, I say that it's a bandaid solution, because you aren't actually resizing the shoe, you are resizing the avatars feet, which the out of scale shoe conforms to. So if you then decide to remove the shoes in iClone, the characters feet will be too small and you will need to go back to character creator and resize the foot again....
Wouldn't it be better if RL simply made the shoe the correct size ? The flip flops are correct, why are the sneakers and boots so much longer than the avatars foot ?

Also I did try conform on the boots, and it cut half the lower half of the sole from the boot, it didn't change the length by much

A lot of methode for scale , resize and comfort " Shoes " to the body .
This picture  ------> How to comfort shoes to the body

Another way  :
- use morphologi body  ( Make area leg to be small base before, then attach shoes )
- use 3dxchanges  ( export obj )    ------> make small then replace ( import back )

May be helpfull
