I plan on recording motion capture with a sword and shield. Is it possible for IClone (or any other motion capture software) that uses Kinect 2.0 to record props? If so, what do I need to do in order to achieve this? Do I need to paint the props black, should I add markers (what type of markers?) etc. Thank you.

I use the perception Neuron mocap. I build a real wood sword and real plastic shield just to "feel" movements when acting.
Then in Iclone , I attach a shield on the Avatar's hand , same for the sword. I don't mocap props.
