Pixologic is offering an intro price of $129 for their new zbrushcore.

Features:

Anybody have insight if the features will cause any hickups in an iclone pipeline when creating characters or clothes? I see texture map support is not there, material import/editing also not there. No FBX import or export, only obj import. Also basically all advanced functions are not there.

What do you think, is it worth investing in?

For me , no. Can't believe that for 150$ we can't paint texture for an application of....painting. I have 3dcoat Steam version and very happy with it. It have a very good PBR render.
I think that this Zbrush core is only for sculpting.

Hi ,

You can make basic polypainting in ZbrushCore , see tutorials .But no UV  , so just to ender and maybe print .No map export

Actually 119 dollars and like maya LT at his start, options will be add in the futur if many users request them .
